One of the ports is the uplink port, which means that is the port you plug
into the router. Any computers plug into the other four. That's it. Plug and
play, NOT Plug and pray. ;-)

<< Hi all;
I've been on the list for awhile, just lurking until now. I've got a
question about adding another Mac on my little home network. I currently
have 2 Macs,a Beige G3 266DT and a Beige G3-300MT hooked to a Seimens
Speedstream 2 port router. Cox broadband is feeding the router. Everything
works perfectly. I want to add my wife's Performa 6360 to the mix. The 6360
was on the router until recently, so ethernet card is there. I bought a
Linksys etherfast 5 port switch and necessary cables. I think this should be
a plug and play thing. Is there anything I should know before I get into
this? Any and all help appreciated. TIA
