Hi all; Thanks to all who responded to my question. Dan Knight has banned me from posting to G-List because of the supposed glitch with this IP address, (192.168.254.1) which he insists is a cox.net address. Maybe one of you kind listers could check this out for me, as you probably have the software to do this and know more about networking and such than I do.<grin> As I'm posting to this list with the same setup (Beige G#-300MT with OE 5.0.6) with no problems, I think it might be a problem with the maclaunch server setup. There were some problems awhile back in which everyone was receiving bounce messages (including me) and it turned out to be a problem with the maclaunch server. Below I have pasted 2 of the replies I recieved from Dan Knight on this matter. Any help on this will be greatly appriciated. TIA
(Quote)It appears that your subscription may be the cause of bounce messages I and other members of G-List have been receiving. I have unsubscribed you from the list in hopes this will eliminate the problem that seems to be coming from server01.fdsltd.com ([192.168.254.1]) (Quote) Once again -- the bounce messages are coming from a mail server at 192.168.254.1. That's a cox.net server. By removing your subscription at cox.net, the problem of the bounce messages generated by the cox.net mail server went away. --Thanks; Rev.
