I have a similar setup, and--if I remember correctly (it's been a while)--
you want to put the Airport into "bridge" mode (using the Airport Admin
Utility).  As I recall, I also had to do a lot of trial-and-error rebooting
of the router, Airport, and Airport-connected Macs in various sequences to
get everything on the same page--and then it worked fine for years. :)
