You might be able to get a bigger antenna for your base station and see about 
positioning it somewhere else in the house more centrally located.  Higher is better 
too!  Near the ceiling (away from electrical wiring) or if you have a two story house, 
on the second floor.  The other option is to get an external antenna for the 12" PB 
since that's really where the problem is.
