Thanks for the correction, David.

It may depend on the version of the iMac and iBook, if one of them has
autosensing ports or not. I have made this kind of connection several times
with an iBook SE/466 and an iMac DV 400, but I may be wrong in assuming that
it was an ordinary cable.

In any case, if the other Kim already has a crossover cable, it will do for
sure!
