If transfer speed with tp is ok, the problem is netbios If speed is still low, look at your network : cables, switch, network card
I changed the cable and now everything is so fast, I'm amazed. File transfers are even faster between the Mac and the PC than between two Macs!
Thanks for the information. Funnily, I didn't think an Ethernet cable could be bad but still working a little bit. I though it was either 0 or 1: either it works completely, or it doesn't work at all.
