That error always refers to files in a mounted filesystem; it has nothing to do 
with HTTP. If it’s being returned to you, there is some _local_ file that’s 
missing. 

I’ve never used background downloading so I don’t know exactly how the API 
works, but perhaps you’re giving a path to save the downloaded file to and its 
parent directory doesn’t exist?
