The mDNS broadcast is link-local, but link-local IPv4 _addresses_ (169.*) are 
only used in the rare situations where there’s no router available — like if 
you plug two computers into each other with an Ethernet cable, or plug several 
devices into a switch that has no upstream connection.

In general, mDNS just advertises the regular IP address of the network 
interface. Maybe that came from a NAT, maybe it’s internet-routable; it doesn’t 
care (and I don’t think it can even tell, at least not easily.)
