Aladdin ships Spring Cleaning v5.0

This new version allows customizable searches, selective cookie editing, menu
shortcuts and more
Aladdin Systems has announced the immediate availability of Spring Cleaning 5.0.
According to the company, Spring Cleaning is the #1 uninstaller for the Macintosh and
this latest iteration adds more cleaning tools as well as ways to protect online
privacy.
"Spring Cleaning helps all Macintosh users achieve two basic goals: keeping their Mac
running at optimal performance and helping them take control over their Internet
experience," said Pauline Shumake, product manager.
Optimized for Mac OS X, v5.0 provides 16 powerful, easy-to-use tools to help users
safely and easily remove hard drive and Internet clutter to increase Mac performance
and protect online privacy. New features include: customizable searches, enhanced
Internet cookie editing, drag and drop capabilities, a System Menu to provide
shortcuts to features, and root access allowances.
Mac users who have come to rely upon Spring Cleaning as an uninstaller and computer
clean-up kit will enjoy the improved cleaning tools and take advantage of new
customizable searches and root access allowances for power users. Internet users will
appreciate v5.0 for the privacy features included in the companion iClean application
-- a desktop Internet clean up tool. Used weekly, iClean can get rid of Internet
cookies and cache to erase Internet trails and to keep privacy at a maximum.
Spring Cleaning (US$49.99) and iClean 5.0 (also sold separately, US$29.99) are
available directly from Aladdin''s online store. Spring Cleaning is also sold at major
