The Lighter Side of Losing Your Laptop
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac

Avoid Zambian hotels. Or bring own schnorkel

An end-of-the-week article at MacUser UK caught our eye.

Ostensibly an article about insuring your laptop, MacUser gives us the Top Ten Ways To
Lose Your Laptop. Sort of a potpourri of ''dog-ate-my-homework'' excuses given to
insurance companies.

We''ve gotta say our favorites include dropping a hot iron on the screen; reversing a
car over a laptop; spilling a milkshake on the keyboard; leaving said portable on car
roof; and water damage in a Zambian hotel.

In my personal PowerBook jpeg collection, I must admit my favorites are the run over
TiBook (the first ever, reputedly. Crushed screen, but perfectly fine connected to an
external monitor) and the Headless Lombard, which now does server duties.

But I bet you have a more extreme Power/iBook. Right?
