Switchers on ''Your Mac Life''
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac
July 3rd 2002
Here''s your chance to get a close up view of people who''ve come over from the
darkside -- in other words, ordinary folks with perhaps just a little more sense than
standard-issue Windoze users
There has been a lot of talk about Apple''s "Switch" ads and a lot of talk about the
people in the ads and Your Mac Life is taking up the cudgel to fill in the details on
some of these "real people." On tonight''s show, host Shawn King will talk with Bill
Lee. Bill and his son will attend their very first Macworld Expo to do research before
buying their first ever Macintosh.
Another "switcher," Grace Kjelden, who will be a guest on tonight''s show teaches
Microsoft Certification Courses and is the senior web administrator at her company.
She has recently switched to using a PowerBook and her web site, XtremeGrace, is
created using a Mac.
A third guest, Aaron Adams, is a Windows LAN Administrator and the subject of one of
Apple''s Switch ads. His happy, smiling, Mac using face can be seen all over prime
time TV and Your Mac Life will talk to him about the experience and about his instant
fame!
New time, longer format
Your Mac Life now starts at 5:30pm PT, 8:30pm ET and will run an additional 30
minutes. Shawn will be taking listener calls and the usual bevy of announcements,
listener emails and chat room questions will round out the evening.
