Embarrassing times for Jobs
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac
July 25th 2002
As accounting and fraud scandals rock the business world, Apple dumps WorldCom
Despite the fact that Apple is one of the few profitable computer makers and maintains
a squeaky-clean corporate image, it''s stock hit a 52-week low on Wednesday. In what
is likely a reaction to Apple''s continued punishment by investors and the on-going
capitalist sleeze fest, Steve Jobs has lashed out at scumbag businessmen.
The Wall Street Journal quotes his Steveness as saying that "for the first time
embarrassed to call myself a businessman."
Nevertheless, Jobs still believes that stock options are a valuable and important
corporate incentive worth preserving.
Moreover, WorldCom''s slide into infamy caused Apple to change telecom providers to
AT&T, accoridng to DowJones Business News.
Analysis: One has to wonder why Apple''s stock is valued so low. Any brokers out who
can shed a little light on this issue?
