Apple offering wireless print promo

Buy an HP wireless printer and print server, and save $79
Apple has posted a new promo called Wireless Printing. By an HP Deskjet 5550 printer
and Jet Direct 380x wireless printer server from Apple and save $79.
If purchased separately, the printer costs $149 and the print server $329, or $478
total. However, with Apple's instant rebate, the total cost is "only" $399.
Here's HP's pitch for the print server:
The HP Jetdirect 380x 802.11b wireless external print server is designed to help small
workgroups easily share a broad range of network-capable HP printers and
multi-function peripherals across 802.11b wireless networks. Place network-capable
peripherals with USB ports anywhere in an office and connect to an 802.11b wireless
network running a wide variety of operating systems.
I wasn't able to locate an end date for this promotion.
Editor's note: This is one way to easily add cross-platform printing for entire
office. However, one has to wonder what the long-term effects all this EM we're
creating will have on us. Being skeptical it's hard not to imagine the worst. DDT was
once hailed as a modern miracle, and look what that did to us and the environment.
