Apple adds two more promos
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac
October 10th 2002
There must be something special about the 10th day of the 10th month
Apple has added two new promos -- "Lights, Camera Action!" and "Get up to $3000 off
Shake." Earlier today we reported on the just announced "Double Your Memory" promo,
which offers buyers the option of adding RAM to their new Mac for $40.
Apple's Hot Deals page with a new promotion, dubbed "Lights, Camera, Action," which
offers up to US$500 off the price of a digital video camera purchased from the online
Apple Store before Dec 24, 2002.
The third new promo offers customers up to US$3,000 off Shake 2.5 for Mac OS X -- the
industry-leading compositing and visual effects software. Customers who purchase
version 4.5 of Alias|Wavefront's Maya Complete or Unlimited can get $2000 off Shake
2.5 GUI for Mac OS X and can get $1000 off Shake 2.5 Render by also attending a
Maya/Shake seminar. This offer expires Dec 20, 2002.
Editor's note: Oct 10 is known as "Double Ten" day here in Taiwan. It's a holiday
celebrating the founding of the Republic of China. However, I doubt that this ROC was
the impetus for putting out three new promos. Is Apple getting into numerology?
