OWC Releases TiHandle for PowerBooks G4
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
November 11th 2002
It's a stand, it's a handle, it's an ergonomic improvement.
Remember your fruity iBook fondly? Miss the handle when you graduated to a TiBook?
Other World Computing and Newer Technology have gotten together to produce the
NewerTech TiHandle, which is not only a handle for the PowerBook G4, but an ergonomic
stand as well.
When used as a stand, the TiHandle allows much more efficient air circulation, which
can get uncomfortably hot at times. The TiHandle also places the keyboard at a more
natural typing angle.
The TiHandle folds down neatly when used as stand, and the kit includes heavy duty
rubber clear tape to protect the paint on the underside your PowerBook when in use.
"The TiHandle is a well-constructed, sturdy handle that makes it much easier for
PowerBook owners to tote their G4 Titanium either across the office or across the
country," said Larry O'Connor, president of Other World Computing. "We have combined
the convenience of a carrying handle with the benefits of an ergonomically correct
stand that allows your computer to breathe while you work comfortably and naturally.
If all you need is your PowerBook when you travel, leave the bulky bag behind and
attach a TiHandle to make traveling easier."
The NewerTech TiHandle is available only through Other World Computing, and is
designed to fit all PowerBook G4s. The TiHandle retails for $39.95.

Analysis: A good idea, as many both TiBook and current iBook owners say they often
miss the handle on the original iBook. The TiHandle might also act as an additional
security measure if locked onto a desk, as it's pretty unusual for thieves to carry a
set of Torx screwdrivers around.
