iPulse shows what's going on under your Mac OS X hood

The Iconfactory released a new tool to monitor system activity in Mac OS X
iPulse from The Iconfactory is a gauge utility showing the inner workings of Mac OS X.
iPulse is a dial, with multiple displays, indicating numerous activities in Mac OS X.
The goal is to show as much information as possible in a single display. The iPulse
tracks CPU and memory usage, free disk space, network activity and also includes a
clock. The utility supports dual processors, and shows both user and system CPU usage.
The utility also offers some high water marks for activity over time.
The utility can float on the desktop, above open applications and menus, and also in
the dock. The dial can be configured to show specific information, in both graphical
and text forms to make it as simple or complex as the user wishes. It appears on
average the utility takes up about 1-5% CPU.
iPulse is shareware and is available for $9.95.
Analysis
This is a nifty utility from the folks at The Iconfactory. The Dock view may be the
most useful for those without a spacious desktop. The dials can be a little confusing,
but running through the preferences should give a user his/her orientation. There are
numerous utilities out there that do much of what iPulse does, but iPulse does it all
in a logical display.
