Logic hits v5.5, gets cozy with da cat

Jaguar compatibility and a juicy new software sampler top the list of new features
Emagic has announced the immediate availability of Logic 5.5 for Mac. This free update
for registered users provides all users with the opportunity to test the new EXS24
MKII software sampler for a period of four weeks, free-of-charge. In addition to the
exciting new facilities afforded by the EXS24 MKII, the Logic update offers several
new features, including OMF and Open TL file import and export in Logic for Mac OS X.
Close co-operation with third-party plug-in-developers has yielded enhanced Audio Unit
functionality under X -- ie an interface design and support of Music Effects.
The update is now available as a free download for all owners of Logic 5 for Classic
and X.
Editor's note: In the computer biz, freedom of choice is merely the pith of an

curls my lips into a bitter smile.
