By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
January 6th 2003

Big 3D graphics performance for virtually any G4 Mac.

ATI Technologies today announced the retail version of its Radeon 9000 Pro Mac
Edition.

The 9000 Pro supports up to two LCD displays, including the Apple Cinema Display at
resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. The card includes ADC and DVI connectors, as well as a
DVI->VGA adapter.

"ATI enjoys tremendous support from the Mac community," said Rick Bergman, Senior Vice
President, Marketing and General Manager, Desktop, ATI Technologies Inc. "In addition
to its availability in Apple's Power Mac G4, consumers can now choose to upgrade their
Macs with the Radeon 9000 Pro Mac Edition retail card."

A 64MB version of the 9000 Pro currently ships in some Power Mac G4s, while the
PowerBook G4 is equipped with the lesser Radeon 9000 with either 32 or 64MB of VRAM.

Owners of AGP-equipped Power Mac G4s (which is almost all of them) can upgrade their
Power Mac G4s to the Radeon 9000 Pro.

The Radeon 9000 Pro Mac Edition carries a retail price of $169.99. More information
from ATI's website.
