Apple releases iCal 1.0.2

The mothership has released another update to their benchmark calendar app
Apple has released v1.0.2 of iCal -- the second dot update for the app is as many
weeks. This latest release provides a number of performance and stability
enhancements, and improved support for importing vCal and Entourage information.
Apple's current spin for this app reads:
"Modern life means multiple calendars, and iCal makes it simple to deal with them. You
can see your schedules for both work and home, color coded, from within a single
window to let you identify conflicts and free time. You can look at your family�s
calendars the same way, and publish your calendars for friends. Search globally for
dates and times of upcoming events. Even share calendar information with other Mac OS
X v10.2 �Jaguar� applications. All quite easily."
We noted Apple's upcoming move to boost its .Mac offerings -- here -- last week with a
new address book feature.
Editor's note: It's difficult not to anticipate a grander plan with the recent updates
and Apple's pre-announcement of the .Mac Address Book. It seems more than just a
coincidence these things are all happening now.
However, what it all means will have to wait until his Steveness speaks.
