Northern Softworks updates Lights Out

This app offers better control over X's Energy Saver Control Panel

Northern Softworks has announced the availability of Lights Out 2.0, an application
designed to give users more control over Apple's Energy Saver. This can help solve the
problem of "Energy Saver insomnia" -- a condition whereby many scanners and other
peripherals interfere with the Mac's normal sleeping patterns.

Lights Out offers a secondary idle timer to put your Mac to sleep even when Energy
Saver fails to do so. The application also offers hot corners to instantly put your
Mac to sleep, or keep your Mac awake. Lights Out offers easy control of all aspects of
Energy Saver. Lights Out can even shutdown your Macintosh after a specified idle
period.

Northern Softworks is also the makes Jaguar Cache Cleaner -- ie if you're having
problems with applications crashing or Internet Preference settings -- and Trash X,
which puts a trash can file shreader on your desktop.

Lights Out 2.0 sells for $9.90 and a demo can be downloaded here.
