Apple's homepage: 'Welcome Safari user'

If you're using the mothership's new browser, you'll be greeted with a special 'hello'

Apple's homepage has a new feature and it's just for users of the company's new 
browser, Safari. A small icon appears in the top-left corner of the mothership's 
homepage with the message "Welcome Safari user," but only if you're viewing the site 
with new browser. 

Apple's Safari is apparently winning the hearts and minds of users. As IGM reported 
yesterday, the new browser has been downloaded over 1 million times since its 
introduction at Macworld San Francisco earlier this month.

Editor's note: Little things matter and it wouldn't surprise me if "this little touch" 
helps push Safari downloads to well in excess of 2 million. Silly, but Apple has a way 
of touching us with such foolishness. I'm touched...
