Getting old is hell… Anyway, I noticed that Xcode had been upgraded to 4.1.1. I have three macs and I have Xcode 4.1 installed on all of the rascals.
I initially downloaded the Install Xcode App, copied it to my NAS and then on each of the three machines I used a fresh copy of the Installer to install Xcode. I think something got confused… On the Mac App Store the Updates screen show no updates but under purchases ( on at least two of the machines ) the 'Install' button appears to be highlighted i.e. it appears that the MAS does not believe that Xcode is installed. Clicking the Install button starts a very large 3+GB download. On the initial install machine it took several tries before the install process completed. Xcode still shows 4.1 as the version number. I have started the install process on the second machine ( it still has a couple of hours to go..) In addition the Install Xcode app stored on the NAS now shows as a damaged app ( so I deleted the rascal). So, what is the appropriate way to handle the Installation and Upgrading of Xcode in a multi machine environment. It seems more that rediculous to have to download 3+GB to each machine every time there is an update… Thanks Jerry _______________________________________________ MacOSX-admin mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-admin
