Earlier I noted that I could not Finder drag a file to my afp mounted fedora 16
home
directory but could use "cp".

Chris Murphy suggest I check for ACL problems…

There were ACLs on the Fedora side and after hunting around I figured
out how to delete the rascals.

Finder copy still did not work…

I noticed that there was a selinux context on the directory so after hunting
around I figured out how to remove the context ( I already had disabled
Selinux).

Finder copy still did not work.

I wondered if the fact that I had the same numeric uid/gids on both machines
had any effect.

So, I logged into my postgresql work account on the mac and afp mounted
the troublesome directory on the fedora box.

This time the Finder copy *did* work…

Go figure…

Doing a Finder GetInfo on the directory and looking at the permissions
showed the following:
For the failure cases, I was getting 'You have unknown access'
For the success cases, I was getting 'You have custom access'.

Taint clear to me if the problem is on the Mac or Fedora side ;(
