Perhaps someone on this list can help me... I've got an Xserve (8GB of RAM, 3TB of hardware RAIDed disk) that I've upgraded to the latest Lion server. It locks up every couple of days; the console won't respond, and I can't ssh into it. The only way to get it back is to power-cycle it. Previously it was working fine (on Leopard).
The culprit seems to be a runaway odproxyd service that's eating up all the usable memory. The console is showing a panel that says it can't start a new process because there's not enough memory. The system log shows zillions of messages from odproxyd about not being able to do something because there are too many open files. Anyone have a clue about what causes this, and how I can fix it?
