At long last, ActiveDirectory services are being rolled out to Macs at the university I work at. One oddity I've noticed in binding Macs to our Windows 2008 R2 AD servers is that Snow Leopard machines use cn or sAMAccountName for the account short name and home directory, while Lion is using RecordName. Though not a deployment obstacle in and of itself, RecordName is not what Windows clients are using and I'm concerned the difference may be a source of future headaches, including political ones.
