I’ve seen this behavior with mounted volumes and external volumes on occasions. > I can Eject and Force Eject (not necessary now because Eject works) from the > command line using something like "sudo hdiutil eject /Volumes/France" which > is strange. Ah, it *always* fails? That I have not seen. I’ve had occasional instances where I’ve had to force eject from the command line even though no files wet open on the volume (at least none listed in lsof). > Should I be in Wheel if the account is an Admin account? I think wheel is not current? On my laptop (the only machine I run as an admin user usually) my groups are listed as: staff com.apple.access_screensharing everyone _appstore localaccounts _appserverusr admin _appserveradm _lpadmin _lpoperator _developer > PS I've used lsof to see open files on the volume.
