Thanks, Sergey. I actually think the already filed bug summarizes pretty nicely that WORA is violated, especially in the comments section. Currently there is no good way to support both OS X Retina and Windows HiDPI using the same code, which smells like a huge bug to me. So for good measure I files another bug (review id JI-9012585).
