Greetings, group. I have a dual PowerPC G5 running OSX 10.4.4 (yeah a little out of date). Recently, it's been having trouble booting... seems to occur right before USB initiation. I hear the disk cycling over the same spot for a while. If it does come up, the USB is hosed. Hitting the switch cures the problem. But the number of failed boots is *slowly* increasing, and now happens maybe once a month. (I only keep the PPC on when I use it, once or twice a day.) Any ideas what is deteriorating? Any easy fix? Thanks!
