I have an on-going issue where my contacts don't sync between my mac and
MobileMe. I can't quite pinpoint why (help is appreciated, but no idea how
to ask on this one), but it works for a while after re-building the sync and
then just doesn't.

By doesn't, I mean that a contact I create on MobileMe never shows up in
Address Book, and vice-versa. If I modify a contact in Address Book the
changes never show up in MobileMe and vice-versa, etc. Same with deleting.

My iPhone syncs to MobileMe just fine (not via my Mac, over the air - I need
to do it this way). Mty calendars sync among all three just fine. It seems
(as far as I can tell) that the only issue is with Contacts.

Forcing a sync makes no difference. Waiting makes no difference (even after
days). I've been pretty good about only creating contacts on MobileMe, so I
can reset the sync data and have it replace all my contacts on my mac, but
I've lost that discipline.

So my question is: Is there a way to force the sync to merge data (reset
sync data only gives me the option to overwrite either MobileMe or my mac,
neither of which I want)?

Any thoughts or suggestions are helpful.

Mac OS/X 10.6.2, all updates applied as of today.

Thank you!
