That's what I thought. But it does not work.

I think it comes from the fact that I created a second user account and put 
that account in French. My main account is in English but I change it sometimes 
to Japanese for localization test purposes.

I am not sure if that is the cause but I remember that even after I reinstalled 
SL from scratch after having issues with Java I had system messages in French 
even though I had selected English as the install language.

So, anyway, yesterday I changed that French account back to English, logged in 
again to confirm the changes, and then rebooted and opened my original account. 
Now all the accounts are supposed to be in English.

But locale still gives me the fr data I pasted yesterday...
