I'm guessing part of the answer is that Toast mounts the DMG file in the Finder when you drag-drop it. You could do that by simply double- clicking on the DMG file. The next step would be to drag the mounted "disk" that shows up under "Devices" and drop it onto DVD Player. If that doesn't work, make sure the mounted disk has a VIDEO_TS folder in it and drop that onto DVD Player.
