I was just following the language used in the iTunes menu options so that people knew precisely what I was talking about ..
When I select Odair Assad's "The Red Fantasy" track at the iTunes Store, I have options to "Gift This Song" - as you can see from the list of menu options.
But I can see that you don't like that wording :-)
