For the same reason that playing Monopoly with a foreign game in a foreign 
currency makes for a totally different game even if the pricing of everything 
is the same on a relative basis.  (For example I have a German game of Monopoly 
in DM -- this is early 1980s edition and everything is about 20x the normal 
American game and people play it way differently than they do -- they tend to 
be more aggressive due to the seemingly higher amounts of money)
