We have a kiosk application that requires a large (20" - 23") touchscreen flat panel display, where the users will use their index finger to trace things onscreen in real time.
We've bought and returned numerous touchscreens because they either don't work right on a Mac (come with Windows-only drivers) or they're too poor in luminance and linearity. Specifically, these were the Elo and Planar brands (which turned out to be the same product, just rebadged). Very poor shade rendering. Good enough for restaurant use only. Higher-end are the Hyundai G90TR and the OneWorld Touch PM-2100, but again they require a Windows driver, and don't work right on the Mac without a driver. We tried. We checked with Wacom, but they told us they don't offer anything that responds to finger touch.
