Even better -- you can use Expose's show desktop (some F key, which differs on
different models and releases, or a four-fingered swipe upwards on a trackpad),
locate the item, grab it with the mouse, and while holding it, use the F key or
swipe downward to get your old front most window back, then drop it. Drags
survive these operations.
