i've got a family member who still runs 10.4 on her purple iMac G3 DV that was purchased new in late 1999; it's used a couple times a week or so, and is in perfect operating condition; early on i replaced the hockey puck mouse with something usable, and i think i upgraded the hard drive a few years ago
