With the iCloud paradigm, you no longer own your data; you're only granted access to it, and then only according to their rules. Did I not drink the right KoolAid or something?
I got upset about this too, but the realized that I don't have to use it and can still keep my data at home.
I did make a new super password to help prevent unexpected charges from the Apple store when I realized that my old Apple ID made me vulnerable.
