I had a last years MBP (2.54 GH double core), running with OSX 10.5.8, using an arch mouse (wireless with an USB receiver) from Microsoft without any troubles so far. A few days ago, I have bought a new MBP with OSX 10.6.8. Although I have updated the mouse software to the very newest version (Microsoft-Mouse_d305), I have a very annoying and strange phenomenon. Every now and then (in a few second intervals) the mouse seem to click by itself. When I move the cursor on the blank Desktop, a rectangle will be drawn as if I would hold the key down. If I like to click somewhere (a button in any window of any app) or an icon on desktop or to the dock, the mouse moves seemingly with button down, preventing therefore a click....even a click with the trackpad. I have to remove the USB receiver to carry then on.
It is obviously not a bug in the MS driver. I had deinstalled it and tried to run the mouse only with the osx, with same result. Is there somebody out there having the same problem? Has OSX 10.5.8 a problem with wireless mouses? Thanks for a hint what to do Rudolf_______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
