I've got a similar issue. I've got two machines running 10.5.8 (PPC),
and even though I've tried the built-in sharing DVD drive, I cannot
play a movie on the other machine. Is there a workaround for the copy
protection? Is there a reason that the machine with the drive doesn't
decrypt it for the one on the network?
