Any help on this is much appreciated!
I have MobileMe set on the web interface to send e-mail by default from my address (this one). That works fine.
However, I cannot seem to get Mail.app to do the same.
Even when I set up an IMAP account with MobileMe settings, smtp.me.com will not accept the from address if it's not my MobileMe address (It will if it comes from the web or my iPad.)
This seems to make no sense as smtp.me.com will send it one way and not the other. It sends fine from a different address when I send from the iPad mail client.
Is there any way to configure either MobileMe or mail.app that allows sending through smtp.me.com with a different address (this is useful to keep sent mailboxes in sync).
The other thing I've noticed, is that on the iPad, in my MobileMe account, it picks up all my "send from" and aliases, but defaults to my mobileme address. I would like to change the default from address - any idea how?
