I guess you could have a more marginal Bluetooth radio in the Mini. Or, your Mini card may have settled on a favorite frequency that is different from your MBP, and closer to what your Airport is using. Unfortunately, Bluetooth and 802.11b/g use the same 2.4GHz frequency range.
