Anybody know if Time Machine does an incremental backup on the contents of a package (like an Aperture or iPhoto library) and only copies changed parts…or does it recopy the whole package every time it runs.
How about disk images; same question although the answer may be different for sparse bundles, sparse images, and regular disk images. (wikipedia says that sparse bundles at least only the changed bands are recopied). I'm guessing that Time Machine is smart enough to only copy changed pieces since packages are really just directories…but wanted to see if anyone knows for sure.
