Just started getting this recently; I've been using Firefox as my main browser for awhile but after it keeps getting slower and slower decided to switch and try Safari for awhile. Running Lion 10.7.3 and all the latest updates including the recent Safari one.
I wondered if the fact that I use multiple bookmark syncing regimes might have something to do with this or if that's extraneous and there might be something else I might do. It hasn't bothered me enough yet to try a separate account to see if it persists or to go through the hassle of exporting bookmarks, reloading extensions, reloading bookmarks, etc. On a related note; are there any good ways to sync bookmarks between both multiple browsers on the Mac and all iOS devices as well? I'm using XMarks to sync everything on my Mac between the various browsers but have enabled iCloud syncing to get the XMarks synced ones on the Mac exported to my iPad and iPhone…but the syncing process seems to be problematic at best. I've restored to making XMarks manually sync to Safari and adding all bookmarks in Firefox, then uploading (vice syncing) those to xmarks.com and downloading (vice syncing) with XMarks for Safari to download the good set to Safari, I started doing this after several instances of them getting corrupted in Safari. Sync with iOS devices through iCloud is also sort of hit and miss; you always get a sync with no ability to overwrite the bookmarks on an iOS device (or Safari on the Mac) and no ability to edit what is in the cloud beyond jumping through hoops to disable iCloud sync everywhere, fix the copy on the Mac and then sync it to iCloud followed by reenabling sync on the iOS devices. Thanks. ----------------------------------------------- There are only three kinds of stress; your basic nuclear stress, cooking stress, and A$$hole stress.
