The site had power outages last night, and some systems are having
problems with DNS.  While booting an iMac, I found the
following log messages (repeated several times, with increasing
numbers after SystemStarter):

[timestamp] com.apple.SystemStarter[39] Checking if DNS is available.
[timestamp] com.apple.SystemStarter[39] DNS seems to be available or
we timedout while waiting for DNS. Starting services anyway

I suspect this was meant to say: "DNS seems to be unavailable", but it
is a bit tricky contacting IT to say "my system says DNS is available,
please fix it"!

Can anyone clarify these messages?
