Settings: MBP 2011 Intel, Mac Mini 2011 Intel, both running osx 10.6.8. Preference settings are the same for both machines (in fact, system is nearly a clone).
I have a Pages doc on my MBP, converted from a Word file, which contains, among other characters, some small, 3-dimensional looking squares (the kind you can tick, if printed). After transferring the file to the Mini, those squares change to display an airplane icon. I know that Pages docs on the Mini can also display this small squares, because I have some similar Pages files on it containing such small squares. In fact, I can even copy those squares and paste it in the transferred file, but that's too much work on larger number of files... I guess, it has to do with text encoding, but do not find where and how to change that. Any ideas?
