How do you find train stations and bus terminals using Apple Maps? I'm looking at Rome, Italy, for example, and I don't see icons for trains and busses. I wanted to see about public transit between two locations. I downloaded one of the very few suggested apps. Ran it, and it said it could not find transit between x and y where x and y were given in longitude and latitude, even though the locations in Maps had addresses.
It sounds like the transit app requires you to know the train stations and bus terminals and their locations. But, Maps doesn't display them, so how am I supposed to know where they are? I then tried getting directions by bus from the airport to the Vatican City. 'Transit Route Unavailable' and again, it provided me with coordinates, instead of the human readable locations and addresses that I entered into the Directions popover. In the Directions popover, there are just three options for travel: walking, car, bus. No train? Are there no trains or busses between the airport and the Vatican City? I guess my question is, how does one actually use Maps if you need to use public transportation? -K Sent from my iPad with Retina Display http://www.kevincallahan.org
