Hi All,

I've got a mid-2010 Macbook Pro (MacbookPro6,1) 17 inch with 512G SSD.

Been working like a champ for almost 2 years. A couple weeks ago, Apple pushed
the 10.7.5 update. Since then, not so great. Intermittently, an application
will freeze with the spinning cursor. Going to other apps will cause them to
freeze, and if I go to the system menu (like to Force Quit or Rebloot)
everything freezes and I'm forced to physically shut it down and boot back up.
I haven't found a way around it. It's not predictable. It's happened with
Dreamweaver, Eclipse, Photoshop, and recently with Mail. Some net searching
has found a few people with same issues. I did find where someone suggested it
was an SSD issue and I should upgrade firmware. A net search hasn't brought me
to any instructions HOW to do this. (As an aside, I notice that google is
becoming more and more useless over time)

Any help on somewhere I can get instructions on checking and/or upgrading the
firmware for my SSD? (Or failing that, downgrading back to 10.7.4?)

Thanks!

-D. Israel
