Anybody got an idea why Finder Sound effects don't work for me ay more? I've
checked everything in Sound System Prefs and it's set to internal speaker, max
volume, mute off in a couple of places, and I can double click alert sounds and
hear them in the internal speakers on my MBP Retina.

Other accounts work as expected.

I recently ran Tinker Tool to adjust a couple of settings but email with the
author indicate that it doesn't look like the problem. There is a setting in
TinkerTool to disable Finder sounds; it's unchecked but I've tried checking it,
quitting, and unchecking it with no change.

I also tried moving com.apple.finder.plist to the trash and rebooting to
recreate Finder prefs; again no change. However, some of my Finder preferences
didn't reset to default so I'm thinking that maybe there is another plist I
need to kill as well.

It's got to be something specific to my daily driver account since the admin
account and others work fine. I found a note on the web for 10.5 that suggested
deleting com.apple.audio.coreaudio.plist but don't have this file in either
~/Library/Preferences or /Library/Preferences under Mountain Lion.
