Unfortunately, I don't think it works that way any more (which was the point of 
my post, although I hope I am wrong).  When I try to jump into TM from Calendar 
it just goes to a Finder window - give it a try in Calendar, Notes, or 
Reminders.

Perhaps one can just use TM for the right Finder folder?  But now there is the 
problem that when you restore from TM, iCloud will quickly bring things back 
into sync by deleting it again.  Here's a Web page that describes how to solve

It seems to me that iCloud is now the primary data source and client copies are 
only "caches."  As a result, it also seems to me that there is not a good / 
simple / easy backup and restore mechanism for some (most?) iCloud data.  This 
is a worry ...

I am happy to hear any better solutions.
