A friend sent me a poster in PDF format which, on my Mac running Mail (Mac OSX Lion) had missing text (in blue) (others on Mac reported the same). But, on my iPad, the blue text showed up fine.
On PC, the blue text in the PDF was fine. The background of the poster is black. I suspect the blue text is being rendered as black on Mail/OSX. He thought there was something wrong with the file, so he spent time and money recreating the poster, but it appears to be a bug in Mail rendering PDFs. I'm not sure yet how he created the PDF.
